Chicks With Sticks:

 We have Doodle Decks from Pacific Knit Co!

If you love colorwork (or want to love it), then Doodle Decks are for you. A Doodle Deck is a pack of cards that offers endless customization for colorwork projects. You choose your pattern, charts, and yarn, and start knitting. 

Each deck comes with patterns for a basic cowl and an infinity cowl that you can use for the base pattern. They also offer other base patterns such as socks, fingerless mitts, hats, and more.

We don't currently have them on our website, so stop into the shop to see them in person. We have decks for Basic, Winter, Spring, Woodland, and Camping Doodles in stock now.

Larch Peds Class is Back!

The last Larch Peds class filled up so quickly, we're doing it again!

This fun pattern by Laura Nelkin is just the thing to get hooked on socks again. The socks use a provisional cast-on (we are going to learn the easy, but effective Turkish cast-on) and short row shaping to create a comfy double cuff. There is also an optional shaped arch for a great fit.

West Michigan Yarn Quest is coming up soon: June 18-27!

Passports are on sale now for only $5! Come join in the fun! This year there are ten shops to visit and lots of great door prizes!

Not sure what Yarn Quest is? In a nutshell, a YQ passport is your ticket to 15% off yarn in the ten participating shops June 18-27 and entry into the daily door prize drawings. Visit each shop to collect a piece of the YQ pattern, designed by Becca Anderson of Threadbender specifically for Yarn Quest (available in knit or crochet!). Visit at least eight shops to be entered into the big runner-up drawings (10 prizes valued at $150 each) or visit all ten to be entered into the Grand Prize drawings (2 prizes will be given away, valued at $500 each)!

Upcoming Classes and Events:

Larch Peds: Join us on three Wednesday nights June 10, 17, and 24 6-8pm for a class on making the Larch Peds by Laura Nelkin. Class is $75 for three sessions plus materials. More information is online and can be accessed by clicking on the class name.

Building Blocks/Building in Color, Building with Lace: The next session will be on Saturday, June 20, 9:00-11:00am. Join us for this monthly drop-in workshop to work through the Building Series from Skacel. This is a great skill-building opportunity. Pre-registration is not required, but is appreciated. The cost is $15/2-hr session. Click the class name for more information.

Thursday Night Drop-In: Join us on Thursday nights 6-8pm for social knitting, crocheting, or whatever portable fiber craft you're working on. You're welcome just to come in and hang out or shop, too.
