Greetings Fiber Friends, can you believe the summer is winding down? I love the sun and heat, but we've had a bit too much of a good thing during these dog-days of August! It hasn't stopped me from both knitting and crocheting, but I find myself looking forward to cooler nights and the feel of wool on my needles. Do you have your fall projects planned? Summer hours will continue until Labor Day. We will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day. Fall hours, beginning Tuesday, September 2, will be (changes in bold font): Monday - Wednesday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Thursday: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Friday: 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. |
Upcoming Classes:
Berroco Mystery Knit-along Blanket Workshop: Join Amy once a month to learn new skills while making a beautiful afghan one square at a time. Workshops will be $15 each month and are drop-in (no need to pre-register). The September session will be one week earlier: Sat., Sept. 6, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Building Blocks/Building in Color/Building With Lace: This is a drop-in skill-building class that is held on the 3rd Saturday of the month. More information can be found by clicking here. The September session is scheduled for Sat., Sept. 20, 9-11 am. Pre-registration is not required, but is appreciated!
Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion. You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off. By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! There are still a few seats left in September and November sessions. You can find dates and sign up online here, or call or stop by the store.
Thursday Night Drop-In: Join us on Thursday nights from 6-8pm for social knitting, crocheting, or whatever portable fiber craft you're working on! You're welcome just to come in and shop, too! Drop-in starts up again Sept. 4.
