Summer Cardi Knit-Along Anyone?

Here's a fun new summer project from Berroco Do you get the Berroco newsletter? The latest edition featured this cute new FREE sweater pattern, Petra, from designer Alison Green. It uses Remix Light to knit up a sweater perfect for layering during the summer (I can't be the only one who freezes in restaurants!). Remix Light combines softness and durability in an eco-friendly yarn (it's recycled fibers) that is lightweight and a perfect addition to your summer wardrobe. I'll be casting on this sweater at our Thursday night drop-in this week. I'd love for you to join me in a casual little knit-along! We have a nice selection of Remix Light in stock (and most sizes use just 2-4 balls!). Remember that summer hours are now in place through Labor Day. Mondays and Thursdays: 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays: 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. |
1UPCOMING CLASSES:
Berroco Blanket MKAL Workshop: This workshop is specifically for those participating in the Berroco Blanket Mystery KAL. The June workshop will be Saturday, June 14 at 9:30-11:30 am. Each workshop session is $15 and no pre-registration is required. The June blocks are more cables and a mosaic pattern.
*NEW* My First Socks - Worsted Edition: Learn to knit socks using two circular needles. We will make socks with worsted weight yarn using all the same techniques as with fingering weight, just faster! This three-week class will beon Mondays, June 16, 23, and 30, 6-8 p.m. Sign up online here, or call or stop by the store. We just got in some new self-patterning worsted weight yarn that would work great! We need at least three students for the class, so sign up now!
Building Blocks: The next session will be Saturday, June 21 at 9-11 am. This is a drop-in class (no need to pre-register). Class is $15/session. You can find more information here.
Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion. You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off. By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! July is now full, but classes are posted for September and November. All classes run 6-8pm. The 3-session class is $60. Thursday Night Drop-Ins (aka Yarn Therapy!) is a chance to spend a couple hours in the evening to sit and stitch with friends. You're welcome to come in and shop during drop-in hours, too! We will be meeting all Thursdays in June!
