West Michigan Yarn Quest 2025 is Coming! Grab your friends and join in on West Michigan Yarn Quest. WMYQ is a yarn crawl featuring 8 local yarn shops in West Michigan: Chicks With Sticks (Portage), Country Needleworks (Jenison), GarenHuis Yarn Studio (Holland), Henny's Yarn Shop (Caledonia), J.T. Stitchery (Rockford), New Ewe Yarn & Quilt Shoppe (Newago), The Bear and Fox Yarn Den (Allegan), and Threadbender Yarn Shop (Grandville). Purchase a passport for $5 at any of the participating shops, then visit as many of the shops as you can between May 10-20. At each shop, get your passport stamped and you'll receive your choice of a free knit or crochet pattern (patterns vary at each shop), get 15% off yarn purchases, and be entered into the shop's daily door prize drawing. If you visit 6+ shops during the Quest, turn in your passport at the last shop you visit to be entered to win one of 8 great runner-up prizes (valued at approximately $150 each). If you visit all 8 shops, you'll also be entered in to win the Grand Prize worth approximately $800! Passports are on sale now so stop in soon to snag one!!

UPCOMING CLASSES:
Berroco Blanket MKAL Workshop: This workshop is specifically for those participating in the Berroco Blanket Mystery KAL. The April workshop will be this Saturday, April 12 at 9:30-11:30 am. The April blocks feature lace techniques. Each workshop session is $15 and no pre-registration is required.
Building Blocks: The next session will be Saturday, April 19 at 9-11 am. This is a drop-in class (no need to pre-register). Class is $15/session. You can find more information here.
Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion. You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off. By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! The May class is sold out, but we have openings in our July class on Wednesdays, July 16, 23, and 30. All classes run 6-8pm. The 3-session class is $60. You can sign up online here, or call or stop by the store.
Thursday Night Drop-Ins (aka Yarn Therapy!) is a chance to spend a couple hours in the evening to sit and stitch with friends. You're welcome to come in and shop during drop-in hours, too! We will be here every Thursday in April! Please note: No drop-in if Kalamazoo Public or Portage Public schools are closed for weather that day (hopefully this note is no longer needed!!).
