A Blanket Mystery KAL is coming in 2025

The Berroco Mystery Knit-Along is a great chance to make a cozy blanket one square at a time, all while learning new skills or enhancing the skills you already have. Starting in January 2025, Berroco will release one to two square patterns each month until the end of the year. As we progress through the year, the techniques will grow increasingly intricate, offering both challenge and fun for knitters of all skill levels! There will be 20 squares in total, each 12" x 12". You'll end up with a blanket that is 52" x 64". Each blanket uses five colors of Berroco Vintage, a soft, washable wool/acrylic blend that has been a favorite of knitters for years. Berroco has put together four different colorways in kits that are now available for pre-order through Chicks With Sticks! You can pre-order your kits from us at this link: Berroco Year Long Blanket MKAL Kits. Kits ordered before December 1 should be available for pick-up at the shop by December 15. Another order will be placed in mid-December for pick up around the first of the year. We can also have Berroco drop-ship kits directly to you. Just let us know if that is your preference.

UPCOMING CLASSES:
Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion. You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off. By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! The next classes are on Wednesdays, January 16, 23, and 30, 6-8pm. You can sign up online here, or call or stop by the store.
Thursday Night Drop-Ins continue! Join us on Thursday nights from 6-8pm for social knitting, crocheting, or whatever portable fiber craft you're working on! You're welcome just to come in and shop, too! The schedule for the rest of 2024: Thursdays, Nov. 21, Dec. 5, Dec. 12, and Dec. 19.
Building Blocks: The next session will be Saturday, November 16 at 9-11 am. This is a drop-in class (no need to pre-register). You can find more information here.
