Leading Men Fiber Arts Trunk Show at Chicks With Sticks

With their hand-dyed colorways inspired by the theatre, pop culture, and nature, partners Steve and Andy truly are the Leading Men in the world of COLOR. Established in August 2013, their dye studio and store front is located in Clinton, Illinois. They specialize in semi-solid, variegated, speckled, and gradient yarn dyeing techniques. When auditioning projects for a starring role, make sure to cast the Leading Men!!! Unfortunately, the Men themselves were not available, but they have sent along a lovely big box of yarn for our Trunk Show. We will have selections from the following bases: Showstopper: 75% SW Merino/25% Nylon, fingering weight (also available in minis - make your own sock kit!) Sparkle Sock: 75% SW Merino/20% Nylon/5% Lurex, fingering weight Polwarth DK: 100% Superwash Polwarth, DK weight Box Office: 100% SW Merino, worsted weight |
UPCOMING CLASSES:
Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion. You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off. By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! November's class is sold out. The next available classes are on Wednesdays, January 15, 22, and 29, 6-8pm. Thursday Night Drop-Ins (aka Yarn Therapy) is a chance to spend a couple hours in the evening to sit and stitch with friends. Our November drop-ins will be Thursday nights, Nov. 7, 14, and 21 from 6-8pm! You're welcome just to come in and shop, too! NOTE: There is no drop-in on October 31.
Building Blocks: The next session will be Saturday, November 16 at 9-11 am. This is a drop-in class (no need to pre-register). You can find more information here.
