New Malabrigo has arrived at Chicks With Sticks

What's happening at

New Malabrigo has arrived! Malabrigo has introduced twelve new colors of Rios, based on the signs of the Zodiac.  If you've not worked with Rios before, you're in for a treat! Rios is a 4-ply worsted premium superwash Merino that resists pilling and is super soft and wearable. Pair that with the gorgeous Malabrigo colors and you'll want to use this yarn again and again! Also from Malabrigo, Arroyo is known as Rios' little brother. It's a plied sport/DK weight in a similar super soft superwash Merino. And there are twelve new colors of Arroyo now available, just in time to get started on your holiday gifts!

Upcoming Classes:

Beginning Knitting is a 3-session class to teach you the basics of what is sure to become a life-long passion.  You'll learn to cast-on, knit, purl, increase and decrease, and bind off.  By Class 3, you'll be ready to start your first project! The next classes are on Wednesdays, November  1, 8, and 15, 6-8pm. You can sign up online here, or call or stop by the store.

 Intro to Colorwork - Soundtrack Cowl: Dip your toes into colorwork with this easy-to-learn slip stitch technique for working with two colors. It's an addictive project that you won't want to put down. This class is suitable for the established beginner who is comfortable casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off.  Class is two sessions to be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18 and 25, 6-8pm. Thursday Night Drop-In is a chance to get some help on a troublesome project or just hang out knit or crochet with a fun group!  There is no charge to drop in.  September sessions will be held every Thursday in September from 6-8pm, starting today! There will be no session on Oct. 12.
