Chicks With Sticks has Looms!

Happy February!

Did you know that we have Schacht Looms? Schacht Spindle Company, located in Boulder, Colorado, has been making quality weaving and spinning supplies for over 50 years!  Their vision is to support weavers and spinners worldwide through their products, services, and education.  We're excited to begin carrying their products! Currently in stock are three very different looms: The Zoom Loom, the Inkle Loom, and the Cricket Loom.

	The Zoom Loom, compact and super-portable at 4x4 inches, it's easy to take it on the road to weave anywhere!  It comes with a 6 in. weaving needle and 3" yarn needle, along with an instruction book with three project ideas.
	The Inkle Loom is great for weaving belts and bands.  They're perfect for start-up weaving because they require little extra equipment, are easy to use and understand, and are easily stored. The loom comes with Schacht's belt shuttle.
	The Cricket Rigid Heddle Loom is compact, capable, and cute.  It comes in two sizes - 10" or 15" (we have the 15" in store). It comes with an 8-dent reed, threading hook, warping peg, table clamps, two shuttles, and yarn for your first project.  Additional reeds and an optional stand are available separately.

Classes:

Beginning Knitting is back! The next 3-night class is scheduled for Wednesdays, March 15, 22, and 29 at 6-8pm.  The cost is $60 + supplies (20% discount on your supplies). You can sign up online here or call us at 269-552-9276.

If you're ready for the next step, sign up for Building Blocks/Building in Color/Building in Lace! This combined knit-a-long style class is offered on the third Saturday of each month and is formatted so you can join in any month.  Building Blocks is a logical next step to increase your skills in basic knitting.  Complete all twelve blocks to create an afghan.  Building in Color teaches you various methods for working with multiple colors, with an afghan as the end result.  Finally, Building in Lace teaches you techniques to create a beautiful lace wrap.  The next class meets on Saturday, February 18, 9-11 am.  You can sign up by giving us a call at 269-552-9276 or by just dropping in.
