Fall Yarn is Arriving at Chicks With Sticks!

| July is wrapping up... I love summers in Michigan so I'm usually sad to see July end. However, this July has been extra challenging for my family with the passing of my father and an unexpected hospital stay for my mother, so I'm kind of ready to see it in the rearview mirror. My heartfelt thanks to our awesome staff who kept the shop functioning these past few weeks and to our wonderful patrons who have offered their love and support. Mom is now home and doing well!
You know what else is nice about end of July/early August? Fall yarn starts to arrive! Here's a peek at what's new:
From Berroco: A refresh of our stock of Ultra Wool in worsted and DK and over 20 colors of Berroco Vintage! We have also added more colors to our stock of Vintage Baby. Coming Soon from Universal Yarn: Offbeat: A machine washable blend of acrylic and alpaca that is perfect for fall and winter projects. This sport weight yarn has a whopping 586 yards per 150 gram cake!  Uptown Worsted Solids and Hues: A high quality anti-pilling acrylic yarn that is perfect for those projects requiring easy peasy care.  Class news: Beginning Knitting I, II, and III: We still have space in the August sessions, Wednesday August 16, 23, and 30. Classes run from 6-8pm and will teach you all the basics you'll need to get started. The August session of Building Blocks/Building in Color/Building with Lace will be held on the second Saturday, August 13 from 9-11am. September will be back to the normal 3rd Saturday schedule. We also have Thursday night knit-a-alongs from 6-8pm. All are welcome to come sit and knit or crochet during these free sessions. Please note that there will be no Thursday night sessions on August 4 and August 11. Thank you for making us your Local Yarn Shop!
