Stranded Colorwork



Learning stranded colorwork will open up a whole new world of projects!  In this class you will make a hat while you learn everything you need to know to be successful at colorwork, including how to pick great colors, working with two colors in the round, and managing tension and floats.

Skill Details:
Students must be able to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off. Additionally, experience in knitting in the round and completing a project is highly recommended.

Requirements:
--2+ colors of worsted weight wool (we recommend Woolstok from BSF or Ultra Wool from Berroco): You will choose your yarn/colors as part of the first class. --US 4 (3.5mm) and US 6 (4mm) or sizes needed for gauge, in your preferred method for knitting in the round (16" circular or double points). --Stitch markers, including a different color/style marker for beginning of round --Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Instructor Bio:
Mina has been knitting since 1984 and is interested in many different forms of arts and crafts. She especially enjoys knitting, cross stitching, sewing, drawing, and watercolor painting. She dropped out of art institute to get a degree in engineering and awkwardly enjoys physics and math, too. She shares her arts and crafts on an Instagram account as m.arvensis.
